[0:00–0:24 — FIRST PASS / THIS BODY IS NOT THE FINAL HOUSE] Second Corinthians five, one through four. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. [Start with dry phone-mic tenor, muted acoustic pulse, faint room hiss, low bass note and one distant electric-guitar shimmer. No full drums. Let “earthly house of this tabernacle” feel temporary and fragile. Keep “eternal in the heavens” restrained and almost awed.] [0:25–1:06 — SECOND PASS / GROANING GETS A RHYTHM] Second Corinthians chapter five, verses one through four. [Bring in dusty boom-bap drums, warm bass guitar, fast muted acoustic strum, foot stomp, hand percussion and wide alt-rock guitar haze. Let the long lines move with breathless indie-folk cadence, but leave real space around “we groan.”] [LEAD] For in this we groan. [ONE ROUGH OFF-MIC VOICE] We groan. [LEAD] Earnestly desiring to be clothed upon— [MICRO-SILENCE] With our house which is from heaven. [ACOUSTIC MICROBURST: one quick bright fingerpicked flourish after “heaven,” then back to the dry strum.] We that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened. [Let the bass get heavier underneath “burdened.”] Not for that we would be unclothed— [BEAT THINS] But clothed upon. [ROUGH CREW — ONE WARM RESPONSE] Clothed upon. [1:07–1:39 — INTERLUDE / MORTALITY FEELS TOO SMALL] Ooh. Yeah. An house not made with hands. [Let the acoustic keep moving quickly while the bassline walks.] Eternal in the heavens. [PSYCHEDELIC MICROBURST: one reverse electric-guitar tail drifts backward like this world falling away, then snaps forward.] For in this we groan. [ONE LOW VOICE] Groan. Being burdened. [ALT-ROCK MICROBURST: one brief wide distorted guitar bloom after “burdened,” then collapse back into the groove.] That mortality— [EVERYTHING CUTS] Might be swallowed up of life. [Let “life” get one raw upward tenor run, slightly cracked, then silence.] [1:40–2:28 — THIRD PASS / HOME IS MORE SOLID THAN HERE] The second epistle of Paul the apostle to the Corinthians, chapter five, verses one through four. [Start with close lead and acoustic strum only. Add stomp, bass, boom-bap drums, then wide electric haze. Let this pass feel more hopeful without getting glossy.] [LEAD] We have a building of God, an house not made with hands— [ONE ROUGH VOICE] Not made with hands. [LEAD] Eternal in the heavens. [ROUGH CREW — ONE WARM PUNCH] Eternal. [Move on immediately.] For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven. [Let the melody climb gradually.] That mortality— [SHORT SILENCE] Might be swallowed up of life. [SECOND ACOUSTIC MICROBURST: one tiny ascending acoustic lick after “life,” then gone.] [OUTRO / STILL HERE, BUT LOOKING HOME] Ooh. Yeah. [No more scripture repetition. Let the fast acoustic pulse continue under dusty drums, warm bass, foot stomps and wide electric shimmer. One friend hums a rough upward melody. Another voice breathes a low “yeah.”] [Gradually remove the drums.] [Leave acoustic, bass and a distant sustained electric guitar.] [One reverse-guitar flash rises and disappears.] [Hard cut mid-strum.] [OVERALL VOCAL DIRECTION] [This should be one of the deepest Homesick for Heaven tracks. The architecture is EARTHLY HOUSE → BUILDING OF GOD → GROAN → DESIRE → BURDEN → CLOTHED UPON → MORTALITY SWALLOWED BY LIFE. Male tenor stays dry, grainy, breathy and conversational with fast-flow indie-folk phrasing, quick imperfect runs and loose urban swagger. Acoustic guitar is a true rhythmic layer; boom bap remains the backbone. Let “WE GROAN” be plain and human,
